Tuition
The standard program at the piano practice is based on 40 lessons per school year and is divided into equal monthly payments. Families pay the same amount each month, regardless of whether a particular month
contains three, four, five, or no scheduled lessons. A detailed lesson calendar will be provided at the beginning of the school year.
Monthly tuition:
30-minute lessons: $150 per month
45-minute lessons: $225 per month
*60-minute lessons: $300 per month
Tuition reserves the student’s regular weekly lesson time and includes:
-
Participation in the full studio year
-
Participation in two students’ recital per year
-
Printed scores and method books

*Sixty-minute lessons are encouraged to be divided into two 30-minute sessions during the week to support concentration and allow more frequent progress checks.

Flexible Lesson Options
The standard studio program is designed for students who want consistent weekly instruction throughout the school year. Tuition reserves a regular lesson time and supports continuity, long-term planning, and steady progress. I also recognize that a full-year tuition arrangement may not be practical for every student.
Work schedules, travel, university commitments, family circumstances, short-term goals, or other needs may require a more flexible format. Depending on availability, alternative arrangements may be offered, including:
-
Occasional lessons
-
Individually scheduled sessions
-
Short-term study
-
Lessons focused on a specific project or goal
-
Coaching before an audition, recital, examination, or performance
-
Lessons arranged around an irregular work, school, or travel schedule
Students who are unsure whether the standard program fits their circumstances are encouraged to get in touch. I am happy to discuss their goals and determine whether an appropriate lesson arrangement is available.
Prices for single lessons are:
30-minute lessons: $50
45-minute lessons: $70
60-minute lessons: $90
Lesson Format
Lessons may take place in person or online depending on the student’s enrollment arrangement and studio schedule. In-person lessons are available in Winston-Salem and Greensboro. An in-person lesson may occasionally move online because of illness, severe weather, travel, or another circumstance that prevents an in-person meeting. When a lesson is held online, it is considered a regularly scheduled lesson and counts toward the student’s annual lesson total. Online lessons help maintain consistency and reduce unnecessary cancellations. In addition to regular lesson time, students are encouraged to share practice journals and short practice videos during the week. This allows for real-time feedback, helps improve practice quality, and reduces misunderstandings between lessons.

Attendance and Makeup Lessons
Students are expected to attend lessons regularly, arrive on time, and come prepared.
Each student may receive up to four makeup lessons per school year when at least 24 hours’ notice is provided. In cases of sudden illness, family emergency, severe weather, or another exceptional circumstance, a makeup lesson may be offered with less than 24 hours’ notice at the teacher’s discretion.
Lessons missed beyond the four permitted makeup lessons are not refunded or credited.

Final Lesson Count
Tuition is based on a studio year of 40 lessons. If the studio is unable to provide the full 40 lessons by the end of the school year, the final month’s tuition will be adjusted to reflect the actual number of lessons provided.

This adjustment applies only to studio scheduling limitations or teacher-side cancellations that cannot be rescheduled. It does not apply to student absences beyond the makeup lesson policy.

Communication
Schedule changes, absences, and makeup requests should be communicated as early as possible.
Clear and timely communication helps keep the studio organized and fair for all students and families.
